Religious Education

Religious Education

The aim of the RE curriculum is to appreciate the way that religious beliefs shape life including the influences of religion on the history, cultural values and the rule of law within the UK. They will reflect on religious practices within local, national and international contexts. The curriculum aims to foster respect and understanding of all religions as well as allowing pupils to develop the ability to make reasoned and informed judgements about religious and moral issues. They will also be given the chance to reflect on key philosophical ideas, understanding how religion has influenced humanity’s search for meaning and purpose as well as providing a moral compass for humans.
