The purpose of the Drama curriculum is to broaden students’ engagement with, and enjoyment of, performing arts while fostering team work, confidence and resilience. They will explore a wide range of skills, styles and genres through a combination of theory, creativity, performance and reception. They will develop the ability to use independent research to support create decision making, reflect on and organise the rehearsal process and evaluate the outcome of their artistic intentions. The curriculum will give students a comprehensive understanding of the practical and technical roles within a performance. They will have the opportunity to experience professional performances to support their learning and will learn how to analyse them critically.
